Having a great Christmas Time

Well we have had quite the week in Montana. It all started with being invited to Bret's Christmas Party at Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky. We met at the office in Belgrade and toor a "nice" Grayhound like bus up the cannyon. A short ride later we were there and getting loaded into a horse drawn sliegh . Pulled by two very large Clidesdales (sp?) we quietly sliped acrtoss the trail to a cabin a mile and half away. It is amazing to see the forest in such beauty with a bright moon, tons of snow, and jsut a nip in the air. Once inside, we were trated top prime rib, poatatoes, and cowboy coffe all cooked on a stove that dated from the late 1800's. Damn it was good and soon after dinner we were sung to by Bruce Anfinson. just a normal cowboy who can play the guitar, but it was cool to all be sining Jingle Bells By candle light in the middle of the winter laden forest. another tired , full, little drink ride down the cannyon and we were home. what a great night adn it was just Saturday.
The next morning we got up and had opur first day on the ski hill for the 05-06 season. With Ken, JAne Breat Zac, Olivia, Nate JUlie, and myself making runs we had a great time. We were even greated by a helcopter landing right next to us in teh parking lot for some reason. Dame it was fun to speed down the hill with the cold air biting at you anas you wish you could go faster. But it is just the start to a season that has begun with record snow fall and hopes for much more in the near future.

Then this weekend I was pulled at great speeds behind my nephews snowmobile . It was very cold( -2), but so worth it because there is nothing like going 40 miles per hour in a hugh firld of powpow . I could only stand it for about 45 min but it was the funnest spert of time I have had in quite some time. We ended the weekend witha viewing of the new movie........KING KONG. the effects were great, but DAMN it it really nessasary to take 3 1/2 hours to tell the story. It seema the effects almost took away from the story because they really had little or nothing to do with the plot. last but least aat the Walker christmas party I made a connection with an ond friend and it just so happens that Her firm is hiring for the GIS job Zac is looking for. He interviewed and he will find out on Thursday if he is chossen. I would be great to have him here. I would look forward to our families having fun together and plying a larger role in the girls life. Well it will be soon that we find the fate which Zac is working so hard to fulfill.
I am also thinking of taking up Statistics again. I find my mind is grtting dumbed down a bit.

Do you ever have one of those days....

It seems that no one can live up to your expectations and is seemd that can't see what they are doing. I guess I should be lucky in where I live and who I surround myself with. BUT the idiots are running rampant throught the streets of Bozeman and i wish that would pick a different town. It seems that I need to be clear with my expectations and needs so I can hold those around me accountable ( Fire the ass) .

Let it snow

It has been snowing for around 10 days now. But tonight it is -20Degrees. As I right this my house is poping nad cracking because it is soooo sold out side. Bozeman is looking forward to teh opening of Bridger bowl on friday. I have to work on sat and sun so I will be waiting a bit to get to the big white hill. I think Kevin is sending it our way . He would have loved this much snow.

The Trimming of the tree 05

Well it started off like any other special night. The dogs ran away for a period of time, the "beer"fridge had 16 diet cokes blow up in it( I get to clean that today) and it was cold. Cold meaning 5 degerees. So ai opened a special beer and started trimming. This year was the first time we as a couple have ever bought a tree and I can tell you it will be our last. Yes it was easy and cheep, but you done get the satisfaction of crawling through the forrest all day to fone the "grizwals famil christmas tree" But enought of the tree ..... we founf the lights ans wraped all the breanches and added the great ornimrnts we have gaind over the 7 years of our relationship. it was fun and we evern had the "Grinch" dvd playing in the background. Times have ganges. as a kid we wound have some oldtime Christmas record going over and over. We did not have any Captin Crunch (peanut btter falv) the chuck upon the tree as we did when we were little. A great time and the start of the Christmas season for the Julie and I.

New qoute!

"This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass,
Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff. Here, I've got pounds of this."

Carl Spackler

You have to love that movie. Lots of snow in Bozeman with Bridger reporting
10 more inchs last night. let it snow!! I love how everyones mood changes here
when there are BIG white flakes coming down and the hill has not even opened
yet.

Quote- Patrick Symmes Outside 9-05

"Fishing is thieving time from that outer world, a way of escaping from responsibilities, news cycles, and the tiny vibrations under the floorboards that signal the approach of some new existential tsunami".

late night...

Along week has past and I have learned alot. I learned that nothing should be taken at face value and it is very important to learn all the facts befor commiting to an opinion of you own. Life has a wierd way of shaking it's self out and waking you up when you least expect it. I have noticed that my time needs to become better organized so that I may dedicate time to what it important . FRIENDS and FAMILY. A dear friend for the past spelled it all out adn made me realize we we all have to loose if we are looking the other way. Witht eh nation in a state of disaster and trying to find someone to balme; I feel that I need to personly work on finding the good and positive in life and embrace it. On to another day...

Well here is to Mondays being just a bit different everynow and then
